Being a hyperaccumulator also has drawbacks: If a hemp plant that is used in production of CBD oil was cultivated in a land that is rich in heavy metals such as mercury and lead, the resulting oils will also reflect the amount of heavy metals absorbed by the plant, making it unsafe for humans to consume, especially children or others who are extremely vulnerable to toxins.
As of November 2016, 33 states and the District of Columbia legally allow cannabis for personal medical use. Rules surrounding the use of medical cannabis (medical marijuana) vary by state. The first state in the union to legalize the medical use of marijuana was California in 1996. States that allow medical marijuana include: Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Dakota, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Utah, Vermont, Washington, and the District of Columbia. It is important to recognize that these state marijuana laws do not change the fact that using marijuana continues to be an offense under Federal law.
In general, though, much of the hesitation linked to using a cannabis or hemp-derived product like CBD oil comes from years of stigma. “Cannabis and hemp…were prohibited in this country starting in 1937, so there’s been [decades] of misinformation and miseducation around this plant,” Cargile says. “Really, just about everything everybody has heard…and all of the stereotypes are not true, and CBD particularly is a very safe, non-toxic alternative to many pharmaceuticals.”
Many a time, multiple cannabinoid compounds are used together, either knowingly or unknowingly. It is, hence, tough to discern the extent to which each compound is involved in causing the desired effect. There are cases where a group of cannabinoids works synergistically in bringing about bodily reactions. Studies selectively employing CBD oil are few in number, but promising.

A: No, Hemp Oil and CBD Oil both are made from the same plant though. Hemp oil is very beneficial containing a lot of antioxidants and omega 3 and 6 fatty acids. Hemp oil is normally pressed from the seeds of the hemp plant, which means it does not contain the same amount of cannabinoids found in CBD oil or Hemp Extract which are extracted from the whole plant.

I had the same experience as karen b and alex k. Biggest crooks I've come across. According to their contract, written notice is to be given to not renew, which i did in December. My contract was up the end of January 2016. Well much to my surprise i received oil far past my contract end date....and at a price gouging rate of $2.899. Pricing other companies, their prices were at $1.40 - $1.80 p /gal. When I called to challenge the price and the fact that they were no longer my oil company, I got such a run around. We agreed on a lower price, still much higher than competitors. I hope everyone that reads this takes all of these reviews under consideration. Totally totally disgusted with this company. tlc oil
