True Leaf is a Canadian based company that has really taken advantage of the recent interest in hemp based remedies to grow from small business to major player. The company currently has its wares in more than 1500 stores across the United States, Canada, and New Zealand, and interestingly doesn’t use CBD in any of their products; instead, they make use of other parts of the hemp plant.

Comprehensive research shows that CBD products have a low side-effect profile. However, the one notable concern is CBD's interaction with enzymes in the liver that metabolize the majority of pharmaceuticals. In most cases, studies have shown that this interaction is uncommon, but it can occur. By delaying the rate a pharmaceutical is metabolized, you potentially raise its potency and its side effects. This could be one of the reasons, CBD is able to lower the use of other pharmaceuticals.
Several companies have already managed to stand out from the pack and make a name for themselves. We happened to see a few of these companies at the 2018 Global Pet Expo in Florida and learned about the products and their effectiveness right from the source. If you’re considering trying CBD oils for dogs or hemp dog treats, I strongly recommend starting with the following companies, each of which provide unique products.
Since Cbd oil is getting popular to dog owners who want to give theirs pets some relief, you must be wondering where can you get such effective CBD Dog treats. It is widely available online and you don’t need your vet’s prescription to have access to the product. You just need money and a shipping detail to receive your order. There are also outlets that sell these dog treats legally and with permits so there is no problem. You will be getting a lot of suggestions from your co-pet owners who uses cbd oil for dogs.

The CBD dog treats that my dogs tried are $60 a bag for 30 dog treats. Wow! That's a lot of money and something that I wouldn't even THINK of spending five years ago.  I will buy a bag of these treats for Rodrigo.  Today, I look at this as a steal because the treats work, the company use quality, safe, natural ingredients, and I don't worry about long-term side effects.
Most people when they hear hemp, automatically associate it with Marijuana. While both Marijuana and hemp originate from the same Cannabis Sativa L. plant, they vary greatly in their genetic makeup, usage, and cultivation. Marijuana is formulated to have large concentrations of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) that leads to a psychoactive “high effect”. On the other hand, hemp’s levels of THC is minuscule and does not have any mind-altering effects on the body.

One message that cbdMD repeats to their customers is that “not all hemp is created equal,” and I couldn't agree more, especially after this year's SuperZoo and seeing so many brands promoting CBD oil products without understanding the benefits and how to give it to our pets.  Because of the ignorance in the market, it makes me wonder about their sourcing, quality, and testing; so I was excited to try these treats.
The bodies of most mammals contain native receptors for cannabinoids. These receptors in the brain run throughout the nervous system. From there, they influence the workings of internal organs and systems. Their function is to regulate and govern things as diverse as memory, emotional states, pain tolerance, and hunger. For patients — human or canine — who experience excessive pain, anxiety, or lack of appetite, CBD supplements may be useful in providing relief from these symptoms.

Joey, I don’t know if your gf and Phoebe has went on their trip, but everything that I’ve read it takes about 2 weeks for CBD to build up in a dogs system and since your dog is a shitzu I would suggest a 1.5mg bag of treats from where ever you get them from. She is a smaller dog and there are 2 dosages I’ve seen. 1.5mg for dogs up to 45 or so and 5mg for dogs 45 +. As for the liquid I have no idea as I haven’t researched that. It sucks that no one replied to your question. I hope you were able to find the answer if they flew already. Good luck!
