HI Leslee, there are so many oils out there and I always talk about absorption when I talk about this oil. What is important is how much you absorb and if the hemp has a delivery vehicle that can get past the blood-brain barrier. This is so important, or you are taking the oil and peeing it out… I mean you will get some of the benefits, which some benefits are great, right? But I always want the most for my investment. We all have to consider three factors when making a decision around our health investments 1-time, 2-energy and 3- finances. TIme in the sense that it will take time for the body to assimilate and adjust, I’d rather your time be spent with an oil that is potent and absorbable. 2. It takes energy to commit and be dedicated to caring for your body, which means taking the oil everyday… then lastly 3. Money, I would rather someone invest in a product that is going to move the needle so to speak, quickly rather than it taking weeks and not having someone find or feel the effects, then saying, “OH that CBD HEMP STUFF doesn’t work…” 🙁 Make sense?
An actual long term study, Ganja in Jamaica: A Medical Anthropological Study of Chronic Marijuana Use, which was published in the Journal of the American Medical Association in 1975, showed zero concerns with addiction, even after patients who had used cannabis for decades had stopped. The 1980 study Cannabis in Costa Rica: A Study in Chronic Marijuana Use backed this up. Most interestingly, studies like this are not finding any addictive potential with CBD even in the presence of THC!
I’m confused. The podcast is about the benifits of CBD oil and the science behind it, but then the link to the one used is a hemp oil. Aren’t they two very different oils as far as the way they are extracted and used? Cbd comes from the flower and hemp comes from the seeds? It’s seems like hemp oil is legal but CBD is not due to the traces of thc? I just wanted a bit more clarity before moving forward. I have heard great things about cbd oil, but that hemp oil is just kind of a waste and I’m looking for a bit of clarity on the subject.

I am having some major issues with major anxiety and major depression that seems to be treatment resistant. I am currently on 75mg of Zoloft, 12.5mg of Seroquel for sleep, 5 to 10 mg of Valium a day and several vitamins as well. I have tried a number of different anti depressants. Nothing seems to be helping much. Out of desperation I have been exploring other options. My question is can I use the oil with all these other meds. Clearly I can’t just stop them but am hoping if I could get the anxiety and depression under control then I could wear off the pharma meds. If you can’t answer this question could you direct me to someone who could. Thanks!!’
For the record, for all the super sensitive people out there, I want to comment that CBD oil CAN get you high. NO REALLY. It can. And I’m talking about Elixinol. the recommended brand here, not some random adulterated stuff, not some high cbd marijuana, actual purified, tested, industrial hemp oil. I have chronic fatigue syndrome and experienced with my own body all the same effects from Elixinol, that I have gotten from eating a weed cookie (less intense, but still unpleasant). For me these side effects include full body convulsions and tremors lasting over an hour, anxiety and panic, disturbing disassociative and repetitive/confusing thought patterns, cottonmouth, and intense emotions and weeping. This was from 90mg CBD content at once. Which is more than recommended on the bottle but still well within the realm of a reasonable dose. Like an edible the effects took many hours to kick in, and then the high came on fast. I am also largely intolerant of caffeine and alcohol. However I never have any noticeable effects from most vitamins and herbal products. Not against CBD. Just saying it is possible, even if no one believes you.
How do I find CBD oil that contains no THC? I am concerned about failing a drug test but truly need the benefits CBD may provide for pain management. Is it more common in tinctures, vape products, or liquid? Should I be looking for anything specific? There is so much information I feel overwhelmed. How can I trust the sites word that it contains no THC? Any help any of you could provide would be so appreciative!
