However, switching to CBD oil from a conventional medication is far from a random stab in the dark. In fact, there was a large scale (and very well-documented) survey carried out less than two years ago that looked at precisely what percentage of patients were able to “swap” their side effect-inducing meds for a 100% natural, cannabis-based therapy.
The key is to effectively gauge exactly how much CBD oil it takes to start managing your pain. If you start off right away with a maximum dose of a 600 mg tincture, you will have no idea how much of the product it actually took to treat your condition, and how much you wasted (this is also important because you do not want to exceed dosage and end up developing a tolerance to the active cannabinoids).
My mother has dementia/Alzheimers along with a broken knee that they will not repair do to her mental status. She is currently in a nursing home. I firmly believe her mental situation began with the over use of hydrocodone for over 30 years and was acerbated by the trauma of breaking and disconnecting her knee cap. Since weaning her off of her meds (still in progress) we have regained much of her consciousness. I want to try CBD to help in her recovery or to help slow down the disease. I cannot find a dosage recommendation plus the nursing home/doctor does not recommend it. I would need to give it to her when I am there visiting (about 3 - 4 times per week). Is there a recommended dosage for dementia/Alzheimers?
Love love love!! I bought this as a first time user of CBD with the intention of easing stress/anxiety that causes that tension feeling in my gut. This stuff is literally incredible. The little things just do not matter anymore. I am able to get more done and feel more like myself because that paralyzing stress just isn’t there anymore. And the number one side effect I noticed, I laugh so much more! I have more snort / cry laughs in the last 2 weeks of taking this than maybe all year. Gold. I’m signing up the for subscription today.
Excellent comprehensive article on CBD Oil. I was injured in 2 auto accidents in 2 years when hit from behind twice while stopped. As a result, I have been on Opioids since 2000. Luckily, I am not addicted and am able to take them only when in severe pain. I have Oxycodone & Morphine 3X per day. I have Osteoarthritis in my knees that is very painful, and in my spine , neck, jaw, hands – it’s everywhere. I also have Fibromyalgia. I had Neck surgery – Fusions on 3 cervical discs because I was unable to hold my head up. The surgery helped, but I still have neck pain. I am a grandmother and I have to say Cannabis is a Miracle Drug. I only take a tiny bit in a pipe and it works immediately. I am able to get by on only a third of my Opioids – 1 Oxycodone & 1 Morphine daily when smoking Cannabis. I have CBD oil too. I have been wanting to try a different kind and now know what to try for better efficacy. CBD helps, but I need the THC. Cannabis is truly a miracle drug in all forms. I just hope it will be legal where I live soon. Thanks again for your in depth CBD article.
Since it started becoming popular roughly two years or so ago, the general consensus has always been that since CBD oil from top brands does not contain the psychoactive properties of THC, it is therefore legal. Unfortunately, its legality is much more nuanced because of conflicting federal laws and new court cases. What is clear is that in one of the most recent court decisions on the topic, Hemp Industries Assoc. v. DEA, which came out on April 30, 2018, the US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit found that Section 7606 of the 2014 US Farm Bill (the “Farm Bill”) preempts the Controlled Substances Act (CSA), the federal law which designates marijuana as a Schedule I substance (along with heroin and cocaine) making it illegal to possess or use. This means that when there is conflict between the CSA and the Farm Bill, the Farm Bill wins out.
Truth be told, one of the biggest draws to using CBD oil for pain has been the fact that it has little distinguishable side-effects or contraindications with other medications. In fact, in a massive report that was published by the World Health Organization during last year’s 2017 Expert Committee on Drug Dependence, it was (finally) declared to the world that CBD is a “safe, well tolerated [compound, which] is not associated with any significant adverse public health effects.”
The CBD oil has been great. I've been taking it before bed and I have noticed an immediate difference. I am relaxed, much more calm, able to fall asleep and I feel better overall when I wake up. My anxiety and stress are gone within a minute of taking a couple drops. Definitely an awesome product and we'll worth the purchase. I've had my girlfriend test it and she's had similar results. I'm hooked. I'd like to tell a number of my friends about this. Do you have an intro promo I can pass along to them. Great job with the product. This is something you can be truly proud of. It's going to make a big difference in a lot of people's lives.
The important thing is that you have to be SUPER careful when selecting CBD oils. Since the cannabis industry is not FDA-regulated, there have been dozens and dozens of companies trying to get away with selling very low quality (and even potentially toxic), “snake oils” that have been extracted using harsh chemical solvents like butane and hexane. Make sure you stay away from cheap products like these, as they could damage your health.
Pharmahemp™ CBD OIL DROPS come in 10 ml glass bottles with pipettes. The product contains 5% (500 mg) of cannabidiol (CBD). It is made from cannabidiol (CBD) from supercritical CO2 extraction of industrial hemp (Cannabis sativa L.) diluted in olive oil (Cannabis sativa L.). Besides cannabidiol (CBD), the CO2 extraction process also preserves all other cannabinoids, terpenes, flavonoids, and nutrients. Our CBD Oil Drops have been tested and analyzed for both its cannabinoid ratio and microbiological adequacy. It does not contain parabens or any artificial dyes, scents, and is free of toxins and heavy metals.

Seizure attack does happen when your neurological connections get interconnected causing the interruption or alteration in the chemical signals which are being sent from the brain to the body. Changed or altered neurological signals cause seizures to happen in your body. CBD has anti-seizure properties which can possibly treat epilepsy problems with ease.

Some individuals have been found to have mutations on the CNR1 gene, which is responsible for coding the CB1 receptor (a type of receptor in cells throughout your body that interacts with cannabinoids). Issues with the CNR1 gene can ultimately result in a poorly functioning endocannabinoid system, which is an important variable when figuring out how to use CBD oil.
